A new study links these and other wireless signals to heart disorders. The double-blind peer-reviewed study, published today in the European Journal of Oncology, links wireless phones that send pulsed signals similar to Wi-Fi networks to heartbeat and other autonomic nervous system problems.
“People don’t just get sick, their hearts start beating,” said lead author Magda Havas, Ph.D. This is the first study to document immediate and dramatic changes in heart rate and variability as a result of microwave exposure (MW), well below federal standards in this country and Canada.
In the study, Colorado residents between the ages of 37 and 79 completed an electrical conductivity questionnaire, and then researchers tracked their heart rate variability (PRS) when exposed to wireless phones or other devices. “Fake” phones that look like wireless phones. At least 40% of these subjects have experienced changes in HRA as a result of microwave exposure from these phones and other wireless devices.
10 main symptoms that volunteers experience? Their most frequent complaints were heartbeat, unrelenting fatigue, memory loss, difficulty concentrating, sleep problems, headaches, dizziness, eye problems, tinnitus and simply poor health.
The most common sources of electromagnetic fields (EMF) among people participating in this study? Antennas, cell phones and wireless phones, fluorescent lamps and Wi-Fi cause their electrical strength.
In 2009, a major international study comparing people with brain tumors with a population control group also found that people who used a mobile phone before the age of twenty were five times more likely to develop malignant brain tumors. And even those who use these phones at a more mature age are 1.5 times more likely to develop tumors than the general population.
Swedish oncologist Lennart Hardell, M.D., also found an increased risk of these tumors in people who have been using wireless phones for more than 10 years.
Why put all this radio frequency power in your head if you don’t need it? “Ask EMF expert Larry Gasta.” How much are you willing to pay on the road for a little more convenience? “
Upgrade your phone to a wired button to spend most of your time talking. I use a phone with ultra-low electromagnetic radiation in my home office. An excellent solution, this full-fledged landline phone, available in the desktop or wall version, does not produce microwaves or strong magnetic fields typical of cellular or wireless phones.
Big risks for young people
Always limit the use of wireless and cell phones during pregnancy. A 2008 study in the journal Epidemiology shows that children whose mothers used mobile phones during pregnancy were 80% more likely to be hyperactive and had behavioral and emotional problems.
The study, conducted by the European Journal of Oncology, “also raises serious concerns about the risk to schoolchildren exposed to Wi-Fi networks,” adds study author Camilla Reese, founder of ElectromagneticHealth.org. This could be “a possible explanation for why some children in Wi-Fi schools are diagnosed and treated for heart defects,” she adds.
Instead, Rees argues, the best course of action is to learn to “create an electromagnetic clean environment to eliminate symptoms.” For example, Dave Stezer and Martin Graham, Ph.D., professor emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley College of Engineering, have developed a filter that can reduce the amount of electricity contaminated.
The results of the Graham-Steter filter are so fast that Dr. Havas admits that she is always “stunned” whenever she uses them in a survey. At a school in Toronto, for example, 55% of students and teachers suddenly felt “surprisingly good” within a month of installing these filters, only to recover their symptoms after filtering.
Teachers reported feeling less tired, frustrated and irritable, while students were more likely to come to class on time, be less distracted and more focused.
